Please join us for Lecture & Luncheon, a new series of gatherings across our four NSCDA-CT Areas! Our October 9th gathering, hosted by an Area 2 Dame in Farmington, will feature a presentation by Emily Whitted, Ph.D. candidate at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Emily received an M.A. from the Winterthur Program in American Decorative Arts in 2020 and was subsequently Lois F. McNeil Curatorial Fellow at the Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library. Her master’s thesis and doctoral dissertation both examine early American textile repair work as an everyday practice integral to households, ships, and military camps.
The Program and Areas Committees have joined forces with Webb Deane Stevens Museum Staff to present brief talks by emerging and established scholars in American history, decorative arts, and fashion, followed by luncheons graciously hosted by NSCDA-CT members.
All Dames and their guests are welcome to attend these events, regardless of their home Area. The cost per event is $35/person.
