Lecture & Luncheon

September 19, 2024 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Please join us for Lecture & Luncheon, a new series of gatherings across our four NSCDA-CT Areas! Our September 19th gathering, hosted by an Area 1 Dame in Warren, will feature a presentation by Olivia R. Scott, Peggy N. Gerry Curatorial Fellow at the Trustees of the Reservations, where she works at the Col. John Ashley House (1735) in Sheffield, Massachusetts. Livy is a 2023 graduate of the Parsons School of Design with an M.A. in fashion studies. Her thesis explores three embroidered garments made, worn, and passed down by women in the Hooker, Russell, Talcott, Wetmore, and Wadsworth families.

The Program and Areas Committees have joined forces with Webb Deane Stevens Museum Staff to present brief talks by emerging and established scholars in American history, decorative arts, and fashion, followed by luncheons graciously hosted by NSCDA-CT members.

All Dames and their guests are welcome to attend these events, regardless of their home Area. The cost per event is $35/person.

Please click here to RSVP. Online registration is preferred, but those who need to pay by check should contact Sam Lee at [email protected] or (860) 529-0612 x108 to confirm availability of seating.
